Babson Capital Europe Limited is one of the largest European sub-investment grade credit fund managers, with €7.3 billion in assets under management across senior secured loan, high yield bond and mezzanine loan funds (as at 28th March 2013). Together with its parent, Babson Capital Management LLC, the firm manages approximately $29 billion * in global high yield, senior secured loans and bonds.
Babson Capital Europe was set up in 2000 as Duke Street Capital Debt Management Limited, part of the Duke Street Capital Group, as a platform for establishing an extensive multi-fund debt management business. Babson Capital Europe was acquired by Babson Capital Management LLC in May 2004 and was renamed Babson Capital Europe Limited in September 2004. Our core focus is sub-investment grade credit, in particular senior secured loans, mezzanine loans and leveraged buyout related high yield bonds.

Who we serve
Babson Capital Europe's clients cover the globe, from Europe to the Far East. Our diverse client base ranges from pension funds, insurance companies and banks to charities and family offices. A wide range of investors are attracted to debt funds. This is primarily due to a combination of attractive forecast returns and the strong historic management of the funds, with asset sourcing, analysis, investment and ongoing performance measurement all handled internally by one of the largest and most experienced teams in the industry.
An Experienced Team
Babson Capital Europe's executive committee team is chaired by Tom Finke, who has more than 23 years experience in the banking and investment industry. The executive committee includes Oliver Burgel, who has been with Babson Capital Europe since inception and joined from London Business School where he worked on private equity and leveraged finance research; David Wilmot, former Head of UK Leveraged Finance at Société Générale, with over 20 years buyout market experience; Adam Eifion-Jones, formerly Managing Director of the mid-market Corporate and Structured Finance business within the Royal Bank of Scotland; Zak Summerscale, formerly a Senior High Yield Bond Manager at New Flag Asset Management; Andrew Godson, formerly at Citigroup, where he ran the Syndicate for CDOs and Structured Credit in Europe and Peter Clark, a former senior member of the Finance Group Latham & Watkins in London.
